Intel LAN Fest is a series of LAN parties hosted by Intel and open to the general public for a small admission fee. Proceeds are matched by Intel and donated to charity.

1.4 What type of prizes and giveaways are available?

Contest and tournaments prizes vary by event but expect to see some extreme gaming prizes such as Intel® Core™2 Quad and Intel® Core™2 Extreme processors and Intel® motherboards in addition to products from our partners such as subscriptions to PC Gamer* and Maximum PC*.

In addition, and just for showing up, we will be giving you some cool swag such as Intel trinkets and copies of the hottest PC game magazines.

1.6 Where can I get support if I have problems or additional questions?

For general inquiries about Intel LAN Fest, sponsorship opportunities, or event specific questions, please email us at lanfest@intel.com. For event specific questions, please feel free to post on your event's Forums where event organizers are actively communicating with their respective communities on a daily basis.

For registration related issues only, please open a Support Ticket for the fastest service.

This might include changes to your registration, payments, or your BYOC Seating preference. Support admins will not have answers to questions about
rules, tournaments, or event specific regulations in most cases.

1.7 What should I bring to the event?

  • Your payment confirmation (from Paypal)
  • Make note of your reserved seat number
  • Computer and Display
  • Headphones (speakers are not allowed at most LAN events)
  • Games (and their required discs if applicable)
  • Network cable (just in case)
  • Power and Video Cables

1.8 What is BYOC?

BYOC stands for Bring Your Own Computer. It is an area where people bring their own computers to play with others. There are no areas where computers will be provided for gameplay.

Registration
2.1 How do I register for an event?

Easy. Simply click on the Register Button and fill out the form to register for the appropriate event. Payments can be made securely using a Paypal* account via
credit card or account withdraw.

2.2 How do I obtain a refund if I cannot attend?

Log into your account and open up a Support Ticket requesting a refund. Refunds will be issued in the form of the original ticket price less $2.00 to cover
transaction fees. No refunds will be issued within one week of the event. Please request refunds before this deadline!

2.3 I paid, but my balance isn't $0.00!!??

If you paid by eCheck, it will take between 3 and 7 business days to clear your account. You can log into your Paypal account to determine if your payment has cleared. If it has (and for all other forms of payment), please open up a Support Ticket let us know. Include your paypal account email address and the name on the account to help expedite your inquiry.

2.4 How can I change my BYOC Seat?

Open a Support Ticket notifying us of that you have need to change your seat. Make certain to include the seat you'd like to be moved to. Seats
requests will be addressed in the order they are received, thus the seat you request may not be available by the time you request it. You will be notified
by admin response if this is the case.

2.5 BYOC Registration Checklist

  1. If your payment has cleared your account, you should have have a $0.00 balance detailed in you Registration Info. Remember that eChecks take 3-7 business days to clear.
  2. If your balance is $0.00 and you have selected a BYOC ticket, only then may you reserve your BYOC seat. You MUST RESERVE YOUR SEAT to confirm your spot at Intel LAN Fest. Simply paying your balance
    is not enough. If all seats are filled, those that paid but failed to reserve a seat will be refunded. For instructions on reserving yoru seat, check the Main Page for your event.
  3. If you are displayed under "Confirmed" on the BYOC List (check your event's BYOC Page) and a BYOC seat is detailed next to your name, you are in good shape for the event.
  4. If you suspect there is an error with your registration immediately open a Support Ticket. Check the status and details of your support tickets frequently for
    admin responses. You an always expect a response within 12-24 hours on weekdays. On Holidays response time may be slightly slower
